D10/11 proudly presents the second installment of Dorothy Parker Read Here, a literary reading series celebrating sharp contemporary voices in the irreverent spirit of Dorothy Parker.
Featured Readers: Marina Antropow Cramer is the author of the novels Roads (2016), Anna Eva Mimi Adam (2020), Marfa’s River (2023), and Winners and Losers (2025). Her work explores solitude, obsession, and emotional interiority. She lives in New York’s Hudson Valley.
Nancy Burke is a novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. Her books include From the Abuelas’ Window (2005), If I Could Paint the Moon Black (2019), Only the Women Are Burning (2020), and Death Cleaning and Other Units of Measure (2024). She holds an MFA from Rutgers University–Newark and is currently developing a debut musical.
Dionne Ford is the author of Go Back and Get It (2023), a finalist for the 2024 Hurston/Wright Award in memoir. A National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellow, her work has received honors from the National Association of Black Journalists, the Newswomen’s Club of New York, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
Leslie‑Ann Murray is a fiction writer from Trinidad & Tobago and a citizen of Crown Heights, Brooklyn. She is the creator of Brown Girl Book Lover, a platform dedicated to centering diverse writers and books that deserve to be at the forefront of the cultural imagination.
At the historic Core Tavern (45 Franklin St, Bloomfield), home to the original Waldorf Astoria backbar—where, local lore suggests, Dorothy Parker herself may once have raised a glass.
